Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $2,345 per week

About the Role

A Medical Surgical (MS) nurse position is available in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role involves providing care on a 24-bed acute care unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 during the night. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of patient diagnoses, including respiratory issues, infections, wounds, diabetic management, gastrointestinal conditions, drug and alcohol withdrawal, and suicidal ideation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a 24-bed acute care Medical/Surgical unit
• Manage patient ratios of 1:4-5 (day) and 1:5-6 (night)
• Read and interpret own telemetry strips
• Titrate insulin and heparin drips
• Float to other Medical/Surgical units as needed

Schedule

• 13-week assignment starting 08/24/2026
• 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM to 7:15 PM)
• 36 hours per week (3 shifts per week)
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
• 4 weekend shifts required within a 4-week schedule (Saturday or Sunday for day shifts; Friday or Saturday for night shifts)
• Every other holiday required
• No call or standby requirements
• Up to 3 full orientation shifts available as needed

Requirements

• BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year experience in acute care
• Wyoming nursing license
• Ability to read own telemetry strips
• Ability to titrate insulin and heparin drips

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Familiarity with High Flow, BiPap, and Cpap equipment
• Experience on a Level 2 trauma unit

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
