About the Role
AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse patient population, including post-operative, orthopedic, neurological, and general medical cases.
- Float to other medical-surgical units as needed.
- Deliver care in a facility with 52 private rooms and access to respiratory therapy and pharmacy services around the clock.
Qualifications
- Active RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Two years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience required.
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Sunrise is recommended.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are preferred.
- SSN and DOB required for submission.
- One reference in the last 12 months required.
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts, days or nights
- Start date: ASAP (posted start date 9/4/2026)
Pay
- Pay rate: $2035.00 – $2139.00 per week (based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipend amount to be determined).
