Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position involving providing high-quality patient care in a clinical observation unit within a busy healthcare facility. The role requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient observation and charting
• Collaborate within a teaching hospital environment involving interaction with students and new hires
• Charge responsibilities may be required, with appropriate pay differential and training provided
• Weekend and holiday work is considered
• Up to 20-week assignments available to support unit staffing during the holiday season

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• At least 1 year of nursing experience
• Current clinical skills in medical-surgical care
• Work history with at least 2 years of experience
• Explanation of all employment gaps over 90 days
• Skills checklist
• Copy of Nursys/license

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel experience in a Med/Surg setting
• This assignment requires prior travel experience for all Centra positions

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start date: 10/05/2026; End date: 01/02/2027
• RTO requests and limited time off are managed during the assignment process
• Cancellations possible due to census up to 36 hours prior
