Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $2,000 per week

Job Summary

This role involves floating between various medical and surgical units, providing patient care on a 12-hour night shift basis. The position requires flexibility to work across different units and adhere to professional nursing standards in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM; scheduled for 36 hours per week following orientation.

Required Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a valid Hawaii license by the start of the assignment.
• A minimum of 0 years of experience; certifications including BLS and ACLS are required.
• Additional certifications such as PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC are preferred.

Required Skills and Certifications

• BLS, ACLS;
• preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC.

Equipment Utilized

• Meditech electronic medical record (EMR)
• pyxis medication dispensing system
• wound vac
• chest tubes.

Units/Departments

• Medical Unit with 77 beds
• Laulima Surgical Acute Unit with 18 beds
• Cardiovascular Unit with 15 beds (rarely used).

Nurse to Patient Ratios

• Medical - 1:6 during days and evenings, 1:8 during nights;
• Laulima - 1:6;
• Cardiovascular - 1:4.

Dress Code

• Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs.

Orientation

Specific training and orientation provided per unit.

Additional Information

• Candidates must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment.
• Please do not accept the start date if unable to arrive on time.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
