Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $1,965 per week

About the role

The Medical Surgical Floor is located in a facility that emphasizes safety, quality care, and shared decision making. This role involves working on a Medsurg unit that blends patient care for medical-surgical, swing bed, and progressive care patients. The position requires providing high-quality nursing care in a team-oriented environment, following evidence-based practices, and participating in unit committees. The facility is designated as a Pathways to Excellence facility by the ANCC, highlighting its commitment to safety and quality. The shift is scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other holiday and weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care on a Medsurg unit that serves medical-surgical, swing bed, and progressive care patients.
• Work in a team-oriented environment following evidence-based practices.
• Participate in unit committees.
• Adhere to patient ratios: 1:5 for Medsurg, 1:5‑6 for Swing Bed, and 1:3‑4 for PCU based on patient needs.
• No on‑call requirement.

Requirements

• Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS card.
• ACLS certification.
• Recent experience in a medical‑surgical or related unit (no minimum years required).

Qualifications

• Preferred: Certification in Cardiac Care, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), PALS, or Emergency Room.

Schedule

• Start date: September 28, 2026.
• Duration: 13 weeks.
• Shift: 12‑hour nights (7 PM – 7 AM), every other holiday and weekend.
• Hours: Minimum 36 hours per week.
