Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $1,925 per week

Job Summary

The healthcare professional position is based in a medical-surgical unit within a community hospital in Winchester, Kentucky. This role involves providing patient care in a fast-paced environment for adult and geriatric patients, focusing on general surgical cases, total joint replacements, and other common medical conditions. The position offers a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 weekly hours.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (ADN or BSN)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• At least 2 years of experience in IV therapies, NG tube management, PICC and central line care, catheter care, post-operative surgical care, and care for general surgery patients including total knee, hip replacements, hernia repairs, and colectomies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Foley catheter insertion, telemonitoring, tube feeding, stroke care, and post-operative care.

Additional Information

• Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills and be team players.
• The position involves managing equipment such as Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell medication systems, JP drains, Hemovac drains, and providing care for patients with diverse medical conditions including COPD, diabetes, dementia, dialysis needs, stroke, cardiac issues, and post-operative recovery.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
