Travel Medical/Surgical RN - $1,909 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Cleveland, Ohio. The position is for an immediate opening requiring 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
• Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Qualifications

Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty; able to lift 20 pounds easily, with patient lifting up to 50 pounds at times; capable of working in a fast‑paced environment with confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative patients.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
