This role involves managing a variety of patient cases, including common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injuries, and extremity pain. The position offers an opportunity to work within a trauma-level, stroke center environment, contributing to patient recovery and safety. Job Details Location: Emergency Department (ED) at the healthcare provider's facility. Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Current licensure to submit; active certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include: monitoring patient vitals, performing advanced procedures such as arterial blood gases (ABGs), EKGs, and troubleshooting ventilators like Vents, Cpap, BiPap, high flow oxygen devices. Additional Information: The ED treats an average of 10+ patients daily, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4. Charge nurses often take assignments, and staff are expected to self-schedule and work a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule. Submission Requirements: Candidates must have a valid license to submit and be available to start on 10/26/2026, with assignment ending on 01/25/2027.
