Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $1,870 per week

About the Role

Travel Nursing Professional specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) care in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing general medical administration, post-operative patient care, and remote telemonitoring. The role offers the opportunity to work nights on a 13-week assignment with a busy general medical and surgical patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical care to patients
• Deliver post-operative patient care
• Perform remote telemonitoring duties
• Float to Medical Surgical Telemetry units as needed
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6, with a surge plan to 1:7 maximum
• Manage clinical responsibilities including general medical care, post-op, bariatrics, and oncology

Schedule

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., every other week and every other holiday
• 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 08/31/2026

Required Qualifications

• Certify with BLS and ACLS
• 1-2+ years of Medical Surgical (MS) experience
• At least 1 year of recent travel experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Telemetry experience
• Cerner electronic medical record experience

Additional Information

• Blocked scheduling requests are acceptable with a 48-hour guarantee request indicated in the body of the submittal
• Facility has 352 beds, including a 21-bed unit, with a monthly volume of 585 patients
