About the role
This position is for a Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in a rapid admission unit, focusing on general medical and surgical patients awaiting procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to general medical and surgical patients.
- Manage a patient load that turns over faster than a typical medical-surgical unit.
- Ensure clear communication with patients and healthcare team members.
- Work independently while delivering high-quality patient care.
Schedule
Day shift, 12-hour shifts with a guaranteed 36 hours weekly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg specialty.
- Current RN license verification through Nursys.
- Completion of a skills checklist.
- References and certification card are required.
- Work history/resume must reflect no gaps greater than 60 days.
