About the role
Aya Healthcare is seeking a Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse in Kingsport, TN.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes to healthcare providers
- Assist with surgical procedures under the supervision of licensed professionals
- Manage and maintain medical equipment and supplies
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during hospital stays
- Provide education to patients and families about their health conditions and treatment plans
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in medical/surgical settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for electronic health records (EHR)
