Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - $2,724 per week
About the role
Medasource is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment starting August 11, 2026, in Bloomington, Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in the Med Surg unit, which is adjacent to the Emergency Department.
- Work 48-hour shifts, including 12-hour night shifts.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias as needed.
- May be required to perform charge nurse duties with provided training and resources.
- Manage patient diagnoses such as Medical Surgical, COVID, Abdominal Pain, Respiratory Distress, and others requiring further workup.
Requirements
- BLS certification required.
- NICU/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit experience preferred.
- Cerner system proficiency required.
- Two years of Med/Surg experience required.
- Starting IVs and nasal cannula administration skills.
- Previous charge experience preferred.

Pay & Benefits
The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48-hour weeks (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Additional Information
Charge coverage may be needed with provided training and resources. Only submit clinicians willing to perform charge nurse duties. The unit is unable to accommodate holidays RTO: Memorial Day, Father's Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. IU Health offers charge pay at an elevated rate. Shift requirements include 4x12-hour shifts, first-time travelers are accepted, and weekends are required.
