Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - $2,357 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Henderson, Kentucky. The position starts 11/16/2026, lasts 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications (additional certifications may be required before assignment).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds routinely; occasional patient lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
