Travel Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse - $1,779 per week

About the role

We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Beachwood, OH. The position involves providing bedside care, assessments, medication administration, wound care, patient education, and discharge planning in a fast‑paced med‑surg setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on immediate conditions.
• Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed.

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years as indicated)

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
