Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor Nurse in Bangor, Maine. This position involves delivering patient care within a medical-surgical unit specializing in orthopedic cases. The nurse will work under the supervision of the Unit Director and provide direct patient care, ensuring adherence to facility policies and nursing standards. The role includes supervising shift activities as a Clinical Leader or Charge Nurse, supporting a collaborative team environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Requirements
- Current Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required within 30 days of hire
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- MOAB (Margaret O. A'Bryan) or CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certifications preferred but not required
- Telehealth experience preferred

Additional Information
The position may require up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation. Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will receive a $10/hr lower local rate. The facility can cancel up to 3 shifts within a 13-week contract. The start date is 08/31/2026.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
