About the role
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse position in Baltimore, Maryland. This role entails providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with solid tumors on an 18-bed unit. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting, adhering to facility protocols and patient safety standards.
Schedule
- Night shifts, 12 hours each
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients with solid tumors
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting
- Adhere to facility protocols and patient safety standards
Requirements
- RN License
- BLS certification
- Oncology experience
- 2 years of current nursing experience
- 1-2 travel assignments preferred
- Previous employment with any Johns Hopkins system facility required; if a prior staff or PRN employee, must have been gone for at least 1 full year
Qualifications
- Experience with Alaris pumps (preferred)
- EPIC electronic health record system (preferred)
Additional Information
- Orientation sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- Patient population involves adult solid tumor patients
