Medical Surgical Neurology Floor nurse position in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing specialized care on a neurology-focused medical surgical unit with a consistent day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments
• Administer medications
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
• Follow facility policies and procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Float rotation may be required

Requirements

• Valid nursing license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher
• At least 1 year of nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Experience in neurology or medical surgical nursing
• Previous employment in a hospital or high-acuity setting
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

Schedule

• Day shift, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Start Date: 08/24/2026

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
