Travel Medical Sonographer - General Diagnostic - $2,089 per week

About the role

Supplemental Health Care is hiring Medical Sonographers for contract assignments at a partnering hospital in Morehead City, North Carolina. This is a 13‑week travel contract with the possibility to extend, working 40 hours per week on 8‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment and review images to ensure they are of good quality and helpful for diagnosis
• Identify normal and abnormal imaging results, communicate a summary of the results to physicians/health professionals, and alert them to urgent problems
• Prepare patients for procedures and educate patients throughout the ultrasound exam
• Review patient medical history, record imaging results in patient records, and coordinate care with various departments within the facility

Requirements

• Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Associate or Bachelor's degree with coursework in sciences and anatomy
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• 2 years of recent relevant experience

Pay

$1,902 – $2,089 per week (estimated weekly payment may include both taxable wages and tax‑free reimbursements for meals, housing, and incidentals; speak with a recruiter for details). Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
