About the Role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission‑certified agency, is seeking a quality Medical Laboratory Technologist for a contract with a top healthcare client. This is a laboratory technologist position — not a Medical Assistant role.

Requirements

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW, or AAB required
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician experience required
• A state license may be required
• Basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment to ascertain a wide variety of information
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses, or parasites
• Measure levels of drugs or other chemicals in the blood to help ensure medications are at their most therapeutic levels
• Analyze the chemical content of blood to determine deficiencies in nutrients or excesses of cholesterol or blood sugars
• Operate cell counters, cultures, microscopes, and other laboratory equipment
• Follow the lab’s protocol for analyzing, interpreting, and delivering test results
