Travel Medical Laboratory Technologist - $1,689 per week

About the role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Medical Laboratory Technologist for a 13‑week travel contract in Dickson, Tennessee. This is not a Medical Assistant position.

Requirements

• Active certification through ASCP, AMT, HEW, or AAB required
• Eighteen months of Medical Laboratory Technologist / Technician experience required
• A state license may be required
• Basic grasp of scientific laboratory procedures, including using laboratory equipment and generating reports from laboratory tests

Responsibilities

• Test blood and bodily fluids using complex laboratory equipment to ascertain a wide variety of information
• Examine specimens for bacteria, viruses, or parasites
• Measure levels of drugs or other chemicals in the blood to help ensure medications are at their most therapeutic levels
• Analyze the chemical content of blood to determine deficiencies in nutrients or excesses of cholesterol or blood sugars
• Operate cell counters, cultures, microscopes, and other various types of equipment
• Follow the lab's protocol for analyzing, interpreting, and delivering test results

• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours, nights

Pay

Weekly pay with direct deposit. Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Weekly payment estimates are informational only and include a gross estimate of hourly wages plus reimbursements for meals, incidentals, and housing; your recruiter will confirm eligibility and provide details.
