Travel Medical Lab Technician - $1,720 per week

About the role

Travel Medical Lab Technician position in Charleston, South Carolina at a Hospital setting. Specialty: Medical Lab Technician, Discipline: Allied Health Professional. Start date: 11/09/2026, contract length: 13 weeks, 40 hours per week with 10-hour shifts. Schedule: 21:00 – 07:30. Employment type: Travel. Pay range: $1,646.39 – $1,728.71 per week (based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, subject to confirmation). Candidate type: Traveler.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or relevant medical or scientific discipline.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by ASCP BOC or equivalent, or relevant specialty lab certification.
• Experience highly preferred in Hematology and/or Chemistry.
• At least 2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality laboratory testing in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Prepare specimens for testing and perform routine laboratory tests.
• Conduct specialized laboratory tests, perform quality control, and troubleshoot errors and maintenance procedures.
• Recognize and evaluate computer data problems, troubleshoot laboratory instruments, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Communicate technical information effectively to medical and laypersons, assist with training laboratory personnel, and participate in continuing education.

Pay

Weekly pay range: $1,646.39 – $1,728.71 (based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, subject to confirmation). Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
