Travel Medical ICU RN - $2,765 per week

About the role

Cross Country Nurses seeks a travel nurse RN for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in Rochester, New York. The assignment starts 10/13/2026, lasts 13 weeks, requires 48 hours per week on night shifts (12‑hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role involves providing advanced patient care in a high‑acuity ICU setting, managing conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac arrest, and multi‑organ dysfunction.

Schedule

Schedule: 12‑hour nights, working 4×12 shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.

Requirements

Required:

• Valid New York RN license
• 1 year of relevant ICU experience
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias

Preferred:

• Experience with CRRT, Impella, ECMO, IABP
• Experience managing high‑acuity ICU patients

Additional Information

• Candidates will be required to float as needed.
• Charting experience with EPIC is mandatory.
• Orientation: 24 hours prior to start date.
• Return staff policy: six‑month gap between assignments.
• Training modules can be billed up to 5 hours of pre‑start training, with total module time possibly reaching 10 hours.
