Travel ICU RN - $2,765 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN ICU position in Tacoma, Washington. Start date 11/02/2026, duration 14 weeks, 48 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts. Employment type is travel.

Responsibilities

• Complete 1‑day general hospital orientation, 1‑day unit orientation (12 hours) on ICU, and 1‑day (12 hours) on like units.
• Maintain telemetry competency (exam graded by SimpliFi Compliance) prior to start.
• Fill out whiteboards, perform and document hourly rounding, give bedside report.
• Treat saline flushes as medication – do not leave at bedside or in scrub pocket.
• Do not leave medications in unlocked carts; waste medications require two‑nurse verification (narcotics, benzodiazepines, etc.).
• Document pain before and after administering pain medication (30 min for IV, 1 hour for oral).
• Take required breaks.
• Float as needed to Neuro/Trauma/Medical/Cardiac ICU, CCU (cardiac step‑down), PCU, ACC, ED holding, med‑surg units, and any open surge areas; occasional float to Allenmore Hospital (~2.5 mi) with advance notice.
