Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU) Nurse opportunity in a hospital setting in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This position involves working in a 16-bed ICU with a variety of critically ill patients, including those with respiratory, stroke, neuro, gastrointestinal, and cardiac conditions. The role requires proficiency in rhythm interpretation, titratable drips, and Cerner electronic medical record system.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed ICU
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage titratable drips
- Utilize Cerner electronic medical record system
- Participate in self-scheduling while submitting shift hours promptly
- Work weekends and holidays (every other or every third weekend, every other holiday)
- Float to similar units or serve as a patient observer within the hospital as required
Requirements
- Two years of ICU experience plus one year of travel experience
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA), Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Valid nursing license
- Must have worked previously for the organization at least six months prior to submission if prior experience exists
Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience reading rhythm strips
- Preferred: Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system
Schedule
- 13-week assignment starting 08/31/2026
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 and 1900-0730)
- Rotating shifts with self-scheduling
