Travel Medical ICU Registered Nurse - $1,887 per week

About the role

Jackson Nurse Professionals is seeking a travel nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment starting August 17, 2026, at a 36-hour per week, 12-hour shift schedule in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Treatment and management of critically ill patients
• Assessment and documentation of patient conditions
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members
• Administration of medications and treatments
• Monitoring vital signs and other clinical parameters
• Documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes

Requirements

• 2 years of recent experience in Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Valid license and/or certification in state of practice
• Valid driver's license
• Background check and drug screen required

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent experience in area of specialty listed on job
• Current BLS required (certifications vary by location – job may require ACLS)
• Valid license and/or certification in state of practice
• Valid Driver's License
• Background and drug screen

Skills

• Strong clinical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Knowledge of MICU protocols and procedures

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
