Travel Medical Assistant

Job Description

Traveling to the clinics within the Region to assist in coverage for Call outs and vacations.

Proper intake of the patient (history and chief complaint).

Documenting during the exam on our EMR system.

Assisting with Medical Procedures such as removing sutures, administering local anesthetic, and applying patches for allergy testing and transcribing reaction strengths.

Delivering patient education and documentation on disease, would care, medications, and pathology.

Reporting and diagnosing.

Properly conducting Prior authorizations for medications/sending medications to pharmacy as prescribed by Provider.

Scheduling follow up appointments at the end of each exam.

Responding timely to messages sent by patients to you or the team (24 hours).

Ensuring start of day/end of day tasks are completed.

Completing all duties in accordance with HIPAA and other medical regulations.

Other duties as assigned.
