Candidates may opt for a 36-hour workweek if preferred. There will be a holiday rotation, and RNs are required to float to various locations within the region. Weekend work is expected every third weekend, and holidays may also be required if scheduled. Job Description The role involves delivering high-quality patient care for a variety of medical surgical cases, including overflow for post-operative surgical hips and knees. The patient-to-nurse ratio is approximately 4-5:1 in a unit with a bed capacity of 24. Nurses will be responsible for managing IV drips, primarily heparin, and utilizing remote telemetry technology for patient monitoring. Qualifications Minimum of 24 months of experience in Med Surg or Med Surg Tele. Able to provide care for various patient types, including post-operative surgical patients. Experience using EPIC EMR is required. Current and active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license at the time of submission. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Additional Information Candidates should be willing to extend beyond an initial 13-week contract and should not have any blocked shifts. All nursing professionals must be oriented to float across multiple locations within the region as necessary.
