Travel Med Surg / Telemetry RN - $2,688 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry position in Pikeville, Kentucky at a 340‑bed Level II Trauma Center. Work on the MS/TELE (Surgical/Ortho) unit, 12‑hour night shifts, 48 hours per week for an 8‑week assignment starting 10/12/2026. Scrub colors are black; you will float throughout inpatient areas and may be asked to assist as an aide when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical/telemetry patient care.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Document care using Care View/EPIC (training provided on‑site).
• Float to other inpatient units as required.
• Perform aide duties if other units need assistance.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry specialty.
• Must have Level I or Level II Trauma center experience.
• Willing to work 48 hours per week; 36‑hour block schedules are not accepted.
• Complete an EKG test during the compliance process.

Qualifications

• Active KY or Compact RN license.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification.

Skills

• General medical/telemetry nursing proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Experience with Care View/EPIC charting (or ability to learn on‑site).
