About the role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in our Med/Surg and Telemetry unit in Wilmington, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to patients with various diagnoses including dementia, diabetes, COVID-19, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleed, hip fracture, and more.

Schedule

  • Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
  • 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Manage medical and surgical patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Provide telemetry monitoring and effectively interpret dysrhythmias
  • Administer medications and IV fluids as necessary, including insulin and blood products
  • Perform central line blood draws and manage peripheral line care
  • Assist with pre/post hemodialysis management and colostomy care
  • Utilize Rapid Response Teams when necessary and ensure adherence to isolation precautions

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
  • Telemetry experience preferred; must accept first-time travelers
  • Valid BCLS certification
  • Experience with Epic charting system preferred
  • Active and valid NC or Compact nursing license

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
