About the role

This is a Night 4x12-hour contract position (18:45 - 07:15) on a Med/Surg Neuro unit. The unit primarily cares for stroke patients and other neuro-related conditions, providing critical care and rehabilitation support. The ideal candidate must be comfortable floating to other Med/Surg and telemetry areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stroke and neuro patients.
• Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring with interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Administer medications and manage patient care plans.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team including physicians and therapists.
• Complete patient assessments and document care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in patient education and rehabilitation processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience.
• BCLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Valid RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Previous traveler experience required; candidates must have at least two successful contracts prior to applying.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
