About the role

Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry schedule 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, with 36 hours guaranteed per week. This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The role requires utilizing specialized knowledge and judgment to navigate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients' nursing care needs.
• Planning and implementing nursing care in accordance with established protocols.
• Evaluating patient responses and documenting care provided.
• Utilizing professional nursing frameworks for practice development.
• Ensuring quality nursing services are delivered effectively.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience.
• 2+ years of experience working with stroke patients.
• Willingness to take Telemetry patients as needed.
• Must obtain NIHSS Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• Must obtain mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• Current COVID vaccination; declinations are not accepted.
• Active RN license verified within the last 30 days.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Proof of two supervisory references: one from the last 6 months and another from the last 12 months.
• Submission of a Skills Checklist specific to Med Surg nursing.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
