Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education as prescribed.
• Conduct patient assessments, prioritize data collection, and perform ongoing assessments and treatments ordered by a physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients’ families.

Requirements

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• NIH, CPI, and 2 years of experience (as indicated by “*” in posting).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods.
• Ability to lift 20 lb routinely; occasional lifts up to 50 lb.
• Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment with confused, agitated, or uncooperative patients.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
