Travel Med Surg / PCU RN - $1,959 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment in Lancaster, Ohio. This is a 13-week contract position with a 36-hour workweek, operating on a 7pm to 7:30am night shift.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process.
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.
• Educate the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge.
• Document the nursing process/pathway accurately and concisely.
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders as written.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care; report malfunctions to the appropriate department.
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous registered nursing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
