Travel Med Surg Ortho RN - $2,177 per week

About the role

Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Orthopedic. Shifts: Days (6:30 AM–7:00 PM) or Nights (6:30 PM–7:00 AM). Unit has 28 Med Surg beds plus 22 overflow beds. Patient ratio: 1:5.

Contract Type: Travel RN. Required to work every 3rd weekend. Must be willing to float to PCU and Behavioral Health (McDermott) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with total joint replacements (hips, knees, shoulders)
• Manage fractures, COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, pneumonia, and oncology cases
• Provide care for dementia patients
• Administer IV antibiotic therapy
• Handle heparin, IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and narcotic infusions (no titratable drips)

Requirements

• Med Surg experience required
• Orthopedic patient care experience preferred
• AHA BLS certification (Required)
• Minimum 50-mile radius from facility (verified using driver’s license)
• Driver’s license required at submission
• Cannot currently be Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facility (within the past year)
• RTO must be submitted upfront (no additional RTO after submission)
• Artificial nails are prohibited
• Must pass an open-book competency exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher
