Travel Med Surg Neuro RN - $1,923 per week

About the Role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina. This is a night shift position, requiring a commitment to 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients undergoing neuro surgical procedures and those with neuro diagnoses. This role entails working in a fast-paced environment, closely monitoring patient conditions, and utilizing critical thinking to deliver top-quality nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, planning and implementing care as needed.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy in accordance with protocols.
• Document all aspects of patient care using Epic system and ensure accurate patient records.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to confer on patient progress and care strategies.
• Float between different units as required, maintaining flexibility in assignments.
• Prepare and educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar nursing role, preferably in neuro or surgical units.
• Current BCLS certification; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Valid nursing license (NC or compact) and must be willing to float within the facility.
