Travel Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography position in Raleigh, North Carolina. Start date: 10/26/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel. This role involves assisting radiologists in performing maternal fetal ultrasound procedures, including complex anatomical evaluations, fetal echocardiograms, and advanced diagnostic techniques. The position includes training residents, consulting with patients, and supporting invasive procedures under supervision in a healthcare provider setting. Previous maternal fetal medicine (MFM) experience is required.

Schedule

Four days per week with 9-hour shifts, plus one half-day (4-hour) shift on Friday, for a total minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts are days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and record anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for physician interpretation
• Assist with invasive procedures as necessary
• Perform detailed anatomical evaluations, fetal echocardiograms, growth assessments, and fetal wellbeing assessments (biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, amniotic fluid evaluations)
• Provide needle guidance and perform advanced diagnostic 3D/4D ultrasounds
• Identify abnormalities requiring real-time observation by the radiologist and provide preliminary findings to the radiologist and/or OB provider

Requirements

• Completion of a 12-month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography / General Ultrasound or equivalent certificate program
• At least 3 years of experience performing complex obstetrics/gynecology (ob/gyn) or vascular scans
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
• Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in OB and OB/GYN specialties

Pay

Pay package based on 9-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
