Travel Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer - $2,524 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer for a travel assignment in Spokane, Washington. The role is in an outpatient high‑risk pregnancy clinic with six ultrasound rooms at one facility and two at another, performing 7‑9 detailed ultrasounds daily and reporting findings to three MFM physicians. The position uses GE ultrasound equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR, and involves assisting with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform 7‑9 detailed ultrasounds daily in a high‑risk outpatient clinic.
• Report ultrasound findings to three maternal‑fetal medicine physicians.
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), and percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS) procedures.
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio while using GE ultrasound equipment and PACS.
• Document encounters in Epic EMR.
• Float between sister facilities as needed to meet staffing needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience, with at least 1 year in OB/GYN.
• Current BLS, ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN, and NT certifications.
• Outpatient and OB/GYN experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Valid compact state license (or applicable state license) in hand at time of submission.

Skills

• Proficiency in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester obstetric ultrasounds.
• Fetal anatomical survey, fetal echocardiography, nuchal translucency screening.
• Amniotic fluid index and umbilical cord Doppler assessments.
• Transvaginal ultrasound, renal/pelvis, ovarian, and uterine imaging.
• Ability to assist with invasive prenatal procedures (amniocentesis, CVS, PUBS).

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
