Travel Mammography Technologist - $3,095 per week

About the role

We are looking for a Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Olympia, WA. The right Mammo Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements. As a Mammo Tech, you will be responsible for the use of a mammography unit and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Conduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum results
• Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Mammo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• Mammo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• Requirements*: ARRT (M), BLS, 2 Years, WA state license * Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
