Travel Mammography Technologist - $2,898 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in New Haven, Connecticut. The position requires 40 hours per week, 8‑hour rotating shifts, and is classified as travel employment.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required.
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions.
• Conduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum results.
• Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography.
• State‑specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• ARRT (R) certification (additional certification may be required before assignment).
