Travel Mammography Tech - $2,062 per week

About the Role

Focus Staff is seeking a Travel Certified Mammography Technologist for a 13‑week contract assignment in Ada, Oklahoma. The position starts 11/16/2026, runs 40 hours per week on a 5×8 day shift (8‑hour days). This temporary travel role supports early detection, accurate imaging, and patient‑centered breast health services.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements, ensure correct exam on correct patient, and establish rapport.
• Instructs and communicates with patient and/or family regarding the test, and assesses patient’s ability to tolerate the exam.
• Prepares patient or area for mammography procedure: positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and setting exposure factors.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to safety, infection‑control, drug and radiation policies; uses proper sterile techniques for invasive procedures and maintains hand hygiene.
• Collaborates with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation; reports issues to management or appropriate department.
• Obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documentation: requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, consent forms, etc.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT certification
• Current Mammography certification (ARRT‑M)
• Current state licensure (if required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1–2 years recent Mammography Technologist experience (preferred)
• Experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures (preferred)

Pay

Pay package based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Estimated pay based on bill rate at time of posting; bill rates can change frequently. Exact package may vary based on guaranteed hours, travel distance, demand, experience, and other factors.
