About the role

Long-term care nurses provide extended care to patients living with disabilities or suffering from progressive or chronic illnesses, often working with the elderly and others who need assistance with activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs and administer medications
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing and dressing
• Complete assignments made by physicians
• Provide routine treatment and assess changes in patient health status
• Perform various treatments as required
• Meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long-Term Care setting
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client’s facility

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, including a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Weekly payment estimates include a gross estimate of hourly wages and reimbursements for meal, incidental, and housing expenses.
