About the role
Medical Solutions LTC is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care for a 27-week assignment in Waterloo, New York. The position offers 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and is available on evenings.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the operation of nursing units
- Provides clinical supervision to employees assigned to the units
- Teaches and supervises staff on respective shifts
- Communicates with Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Manager about identified and potential unit problems
- Collaborates with Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers to resolve problems
- Makes sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and the Administrator - LTC (off-shift/weekends)
Requirements
- NYS RN licensure, minimum 1-year nurse experience in long term care + supervisory experience across multiple units
- Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing
- BLS required through AHA or RQI system during clinical orientation
- CPI obtained within 90 days of hire
