About the Role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality Long-Term Care nurse for a travel assignment with one of our top healthcare clients in Hilo, Hawaii.
Responsibilities
- Provide extended care to patients living with disabilities or suffering from progressive or chronic illnesses, including the elderly and others needing assistance with activities of daily living (e.g., bathing, dressing).
- Record vital signs and administer medications.
- Complete assignments made by physicians and provide routine treatment.
- Assess changes in patient’s health status and perform various treatments.
- Administer medication and ensure meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to maintain continuity of care among nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members.
- Due to the broad range of medical conditions encountered, maintain proficiency in a large variety of health conditions.
Requirements
- Active RN or LPN License.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS Certification.
- Eighteen months of recent experience in a Long-Term Care setting.
- Additional requirements may be determined by the client’s facility.
