Travel Long Term Care (LTC) Physical Therapy Assistant - $1,390 per week

About the role

The client in Oswego, Kansas is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract position starting immediately. The role involves providing physical therapy services in a long-term care facility (LTC/SNF).

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in performing physical therapy treatments
• Help patients with exercises and activities to improve their mobility and strength
• Document patient progress and treatment plans in medical records
• Provide education to patients and families about physical therapy techniques and home exercises
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during therapy sessions

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Kansas
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or related field
• At least one year of relevant work experience in physical therapy
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and exercise techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)
• Current CPR certification

Pay

The pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
