About the Role
Work in a long-term care healthcare setting providing patient care and supporting nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care to all patients within the scope of practice, respecting patient rights and dignity.
- Collaborate with nursing staff; assist in stocking rooms and completing checklists; help with ordering medical supplies as needed.
- Screen calls over the phone and, when necessary, assist mid-level clinicians after hours.
- Apply age-specific considerations and cultural sensitivity in patient care across the lifespan.
- Maintain competency, adapt to assigned areas, and support the mission of the health system.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school for LPNs or LVNs.
- Licenses: Current Alaska LPN license in good standing; current Alaska RN license in good standing.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification (BCLS); current BLS.
- Experience: New graduates accepted; preferred one year hospital experience.
- Additional: All travelers must show proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination; ability to pass and maintain position-specific competencies; IV certification (preferred); Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification (preferred).
Pay
Weekly pay: $1,296–$1,364 per week. Guaranteed hours: 32 per week.
Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and confirmed hours will be discussed during the hiring process.
