Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that Health & Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies always, & processes & acting in a safe manner
- Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling & pushing heavy objects.
- Field Inspections: Perform routine, scheduled inspections of components (valves, connectors, pumps, tanks) to detect leaks of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
- Maintaining Equipment: Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers (e.g., Flame Ionization Detectors - FID).
- Data Management & Reporting: Record inspection data, tag leaking components, and manage inventory within databases like LeakDAS, GuideWare, SkyBridge
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to environmental regulations (e.g., 40 CFR Subpart 60) and strict site safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with maintenance teams to report leaks and verify repairs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Leak Detection and Repair experience, in an industrial setting – Refinery, Petro-Chemical, Utilities, Pulp and Paper Mills, etc., required
- Valid driver’s license
- TWIC, preferred
- Confined space entry & 10 Hour OSHA Training (preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and able to work independently
