What You’ll Do
- Monitor valves, pumps, and process components using Method 21 and other EPA protocols
- Run assigned monitoring routes and document all components on schedule
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain handheld analyzers
- Process leak tags and follow up on repaired equipment
- Work closely with plant operations and maintenance teams to maintain compliance
- Spot opportunities to improve processes or site efficiency
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE, including respirators
- Support your team and take on new responsibilities as needed
Required
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- 6+ months LDAR or industrial/environmental monitoring experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable lifting 50 lbs., climbing stairs/scaffolding, and working outdoors in all weather
- Good communication skills and ability to work with plant staff and teammates
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, data entry, handheld devices/PDA)
- Strong safety mindset
PREFERRED
- 2+ years LDAR experience
- Experience with TVA 2020, MIC-6, and manual calibrations
- Familiarity with BWON, AVO inspections, QQQ reporting, or OGI/IR cameras
- Prior work in refineries or chemical plants
- Understanding of P&IDs or emissions control systems
