- Monitoring labor progress
- Assisting with procedures such as epidurals and cesarean preparations
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Aiding physicians
- Providing immediate newborn care
Requirements
- 3 years' recent acute care experience
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- AWHONN certification
Skills
Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds, as well as strong stress management and interpersonal skills.
