About the role
Travel contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery in Nampa, ID. This role involves providing care for childbearing women and newborns, including attending deliveries, completing newborn care, triage, circulating C-sections, and postpartum couplet care. Experience with magnesium administration is required. The resource nurse will assist with breaks and attend all deliveries as a "baby catcher," responsible for stabilization, physical assessments, and care within the first 2 hours of birth, as well as being a second sign-off on medications.
- Postpartum ratios: 1:3 couplets care
- Triage ratios: 1:3 (if patient load reaches 4, a resource nurse will be utilized)
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum)
- Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and STABLE
- Ability to attend deliveries and provide 1 hour of newborn care
- Experience circulating C-sections
- Experience providing postpartum couplet care
- Experience with magnesium administration
