About the role

Medasource is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit setting.
  • Assist with C-sections and inductions as needed.
  • Manage patient ratios and ensure appropriate monitoring.
  • Utilize advanced equipment such as Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, and CPN(GE) monitors.
  • Work within the Meditech/CPN electronic medical record system.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital L&D RN experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, EFM-C or AWHONN certification required.
  • Circulating C-sections experience preferred.
  • High risk LDR experience preferred.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 26

• Number of Staff: 112

• Day Shift: 1 CNC(TL), 14 nurses, 2-3 ST, 2 unit clerks

• Night Shift: 1 CNC (TL), 12 nurses, 2 ST, 1 unit clerk

• Patient Ratios: 1:1 high risk labor c-sections; 1:2 antepartum, PPROM, PTL on mag, PP on mag; 1:3 PP mag no baby, Outpatients

• Type of equipment: Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, CPN(GE) monitor

• EMR: Meditech / CPN

  • AROM, IUPC, DFM and Doppler

Additional Information

  • New OB Hospitalist program began in April, providing attending support to the residency program and nurses working triage.
  • Self-scheduling is offered, which is a big staff satisfier.
  • New equipment and technology are regularly introduced.
  • Tenured nurses with 20-40 years of experience are present.
  • Strong leadership team that supports nurses and can work the floor when needed.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
